Try as I might, I couldn't get the colours quite right and therefore I'm not completely satisfied (plus all the other things I don't like yadda yadda). Ah well.

if you wan't some construktive critism, the lights are a bit of on the hair, theres no fixed lighsource there are atleast 3 sources i can point out at the moment, from the bardisk, from above right and above left, it needs some shadeing and not only highlights. but i like how you've done the hair overall with its lines.
the ears need more depth, i think its the thin black line around them (while theres none in them) that "kills them" because it amplifies the effekt of a border and sense of 2d.
beutiful khajiit however i like the more realistic look then the cartoony, the name remembers me of mai´q one of my favorite NPC's in that game, my secound one is ahdarji (if you don't join theives guild).
i would like to give you a fishy stick but sadly i have none, see you around.
As for the criticism itself, I can see your points and I can only say that I agree with you.
Yeah, Mai'q is a very similar name indeed. Mai is just something I took from French since it sounded fitting.
Still I hope to see again more pics with her ^^.
I think the colours are just fine to me. There's a great colour scheme coming through of reds and browns to create a rustic sort of look. Nice work!
